It is located near the Dubai Water Canal in the heart of Dubai.


How to get there:


You can easily reach the museum by
Metro: the station for metro is Al Jaddaf Station (Red Line)
Bus: You can reach the museum by the bus aswell. There are different routes for it like Route (12,22,23 and 42)

Taxi: Taxis are easily available around the city, at the entrance of the museum or you can always book a car from the app.

History of Museum


The Museum of Future is a government backed initiative and was built by the Dubai Foundation for the Museum. It was designed by the architectural firm Kills Design.
The Dubai government in 2015 announced it’s plan to build this museum. The approximate budget for this project was USD 136 million (AED500).
A design competition for architecture was held in 2016 and Kills Design won it. The museum is designed to be a place for showcasing artificial intelligence, futurism, innovation and sustainable energy solutions.

Construction
The construction of Museum of the Future started in 2017, was led by Dubai Foundation. In 2019 the structure of the museum was completed and after that the installation of displays and exhibits started. The museum was scheduled to open on 2020 but the opening was delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Later, in 2021, the doors of the Museum of the Future were opened on 22nd February.
The Building of the museum it self is a piece of art with a unique design resembling to the spaceship. The mission of the Museum is to inspire people, shape their thinking process, provide a place for innovators to create a better future world. It takes you to the journey of an immersive experience through space and time.

There are seven floors of the museum and each floor has a theme.

  • 1st Floor: The Great Hall
  • 2nd Floor : The Future of Space Exploration
  • 3rd Floor : The Future of Health and Wellness
  • 4th Floor : The Future of Education and Knowledge
  • 5th Floor: The Future of Energy and Environment
  • 6th Floor: The Future of Transportation and Infrastructure
  • 7th Floor: The Future of Humanity and Technology

The Attractions included in the Museum of Future are augmented reality experiences, virtual Reality, immersive experiences, interactive displays, designs, futuristic prototypes, sculptures and Art Installations.

The timings of the museum are 10:00 AM to 06:00 PM and it’s open daily


Tickets:


The tickets for the museum are available online, can be bought from the website or also available at the entrance.


Price:


Adult: USD 14 or AED 50
Children: Age limit (3-12 years) USD7 or AED25, children under the 3 years are free.
